Why Epilepsy?
Because it
detrimentally affected my life. The girl
to the left was Caellah Ireland Allison, born on
Christmas Eve 2013. We did not know she
had epilepsy until at four months old she had a
massive seizure which caused oxygen deprivation
causing her to have damage to key areas of her
brain. Through the months we found out she
had a rare form of epilepsy called Linnox-Gestaut.
The injury at four months caused her a lot of
pain and suffering. But for a little girl
who could not walk or talk, she knew how to give
love and loved everyone unconditionally.
She caught pneumonia in March of 2019 and passed
away on April 2. Epilepsy is more than
just seizures. It can create additional
problems that lead to death. I cannot
bring my little girl back, but I can support
causes that can help someone else's little girl
or boy. |
